About the Journal

The International Journal of Taiwan Studies (IJTS), cosponsored by Academia Sinica and the European Association of Taiwan Studies, is a principal outlet for the dissemination of cutting-edge research on Taiwan. Its editorial office is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and is hosted by the Centre of Taiwan Studies, SOAS University of London. IJTS is the first internationally collaborative, multidisciplinary, and peer-reviewed academic research journal in English dedicated for scholars, teachers, and students from around the world who have an active and passionate interest in Taiwan and Taiwan-related subjects. The journal is devoted to all aspects of Taiwan Studies, including social sciences, arts and humanities, and topics which are interdisciplinary in nature. This publication on Taiwan Studies, a rapidly growing field with an increasingly critical influence, aims to reach academics and policymakers of different cultural backgrounds, disciplinary perspectives and methodological approaches.
The International Journal of Taiwan Studies has now been indexed by ERIH PLUS, Scopus, and ESCI (Web of Science).
The International Journal of Taiwan Studies has been accepted for Scopus. The IJTS is recognised for being truly international in scope and demonstrating its rigor of peer review and quality management of its published content. The journal includes articles that are academically sound and relevant to an international academic in the field as evidenced by citations in other journals currently covered by Scopus.

Subscription
International Journal of Taiwan Studies (IJTS) publishes twice a year.
Ordinary annual subscription fee for the International Journal of Taiwan Studies is 75 euro. As valid EATS members, you will receive a major discount to subscribe to the journal. Rates are as follows:
- EATS membership + annual subscription to IJTS (e-copy)
- Non-student – 70 Euro
- Student – 65 Euro
