EATS Board Member 2025 – Present
I work as a Research Fellow in the Department of History, Anthropology, Religions, Art History, and Performing Arts (SARAS) at Sapienza University of Rome, where I contributed to establishing the Taiwan Studies Center within the Centro Studi CEMAS. My academic background combines a degree in Sociology and a PhD in History, both from Sapienza, and my research has naturally developed at the intersection of historical and sociological approaches, with a focus on national identity, public diplomacy, and diplomatic history.
My work explores the history of international relations in the Asia-Pacific, with particular attention to Taiwan’s foreign policy, identity formation, and Italy’s diplomatic engagement with East and Southeast Asia. I have published extensively on Taiwanese identity, public diplomacy, Chinese foreign policy, and Italy’s historical projection in Asia, with contributions including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and two monographs—among them L’Isola Sospesa. Taiwan e gli Equilibri del Mondo (LUISS University Press).
In addition, I serve as Head of Institutional Relations at the Centro Studi Geopolitica.info, where I also edit the Taiwan Spotlight column, and I am affiliated as a Research Fellow with the Taiwan Center for International Strategic Studies (TCISS).
